The main training centre in Wiltshire for teachers and school support staff wishes to refresh its AVA facilities.
The centre comprises five training/conference rooms (including a dedicated ICT suite), restaurant, ICT workshop and office accommodation. It is operated by Wiltshire County Council as its main venue for its extensive programme of professional development for teachers and other staff in schools (240) and early years settings (300) across the county.
Each training room is equipped with an overhead projector, Smart interactive whiteboard, audio system, PC, and OHP. Although the presentation equipment in use is still current, we are keen to be seen as demonstrators of best practice with up-to-date and innovative technology. We are inviting proposals from interactive whiteboard suppliers to re-equip three of our training rooms to a high specification and to demonstrate different methods of using Smart interactive whiteboard technology. This could include different types of Smart interactive equipment and/or different types of projection in each room. All must be installed very neatly and provide good facilities for presenters. The equipment would be seen in use by the majority of headteachers and teachers in Wiltshire over the course of each year.
We would like to invite you to submit a proposal and estimate for the supply and installation of equipment you would recommend (subject to survey).
Proposals will be assessed on the basis of innovation and best value.
Shortlisted suppliers will be invited to visit the premises to survey the site and prepare final quotation.
Installation will be required during the period 7-18 April 2008.
